Again, a great post. Despite liking many aspects of ACT I find values based action to be difficult and vague at times. I love asking Windy Drysen’s question, this is flexible? And then asking your question from the last article: will this actually get what I want it to?
The simple questions you pose in relation to the topics you write on are my favorite ways to manage any form of stress after awareness.
Questions encourage prefrontal cortex engagement while conclusions keep the limbic system driving.
Post awareness and potentially something like intentional breathing to influence parasympathetic nervous system activation, questions are my preferred strategy to manage and recover from stress such as anger.
