Great article. I have OCD and I used to read Stoic philosophy in a compulsive manner to avoid obsessional fears and anxiety so it seems to me that it’s also important to realize that behaviors that are generally healthy can be unhealthy when done improperly. This was difficult for me to accept at first since I know Stoic philosophy can help manage some anxiety for events beyond our control. Knowing the difference between positive emotional regulation and avoidance can sometimes be difficult to differentiate in my experience.
